Secure Dog Paddocks

We have 3 secure dog paddocks in 2 different locations, Alconbury & Bassingbourn. Our paddocks have been designed to provide you and your four-legged friends with a safe, enclosed space to enjoy, stress free! They are the perfect place to let your dogs run free and enjoy the Cambridgeshire Countryside. Private hire and groups welcome.

Holly Lodge Café opened in April 2021 and is the perfect place for you to enjoy our gorgeous speciality, ‘Milkbuster’ coffee and handmade cakes and bakes. Come and enjoy a moment of relaxation in front of our log burner or a coffee with friends in our lovely, landscaped gardens.

Our farm has been producing the best of British crops and beef for 4 generations. Specialising mainly in cereals for bread and biscuit factories, as well as producing some top class British and Continental beef breeds such as Herefords and Limousins.

We have been chatting to other local dog field owners and it seems we are all in the same position ☔️🌧️ Please note that the moment the fields are dry enough to drive on, and in, we will be doing a lot of maintenance to get the paddocks back up to the standard we want them to be…the rain has very much challenged us this winter so far and I’m not sure it’s done yet, but have no fear we will be back and looking sparkling in no time! ✨ Thank you for bearing with us ❤️ For your information North paddock is much drier than South!! Dogs under The Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) must comply with the following in order to use our fields... ⭐️ You must provide us with your certificate of exemption and liability insurance certificates for your dog, please email these to info@hollylodge.org at time of booking ⭐️ The dog MUST be neutered ⭐️ The dog MUST be micro chipped ⭐️ The dog MUST be kept on a lead and muzzled until inside the field and until the outer gate is auto-locked. The dog MUST be placed back on a lead and muzzled when returning to the car after a session ⭐️ We will operate a 1:1 dog to handler policy. One banned breed dog to one handler. All handlers MUST be over 16. We will continue to support all owners of banned breeds as we recognise the importance of dogs being exercised properly, however we will be strict on the use of our fields in the interest of safety for all customers. Anyone found not to be following our rules will be banned from using the fields in future. “Nice tucked away remote cafe. It's very very dog friendly , we dont have one and was fine regardless. Also know this is a popular stopping point for cyclists. The cafe itself is nice if slightly small inside but smart huge outside areas when warm enough. The counter service was efficient and friendly, coffee fine and good to see a few vegan options (soup and a hotpot on my sunday visit) so good to see. Would return”

“This is the best dog field and so safe. Rosie had a fantastic time running after her toys. Recommend 10/10 and the cafe was so nice too. Food was delicious and service brilliant.”
